This region of Idaho offers some of the best bear hunting in the United States. This area features the unique occurrence of the 4 color variations of black bear. The harvest for the last several years, has been close to 65% color phase bear. When blacks are chosen it is generally for large size or prominent "V" marking on the chest. The hunt is in Remote unit 7 and 10 and even have a 2 bear limit area!
Located in the lush Bitterroots our area boasts some of the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere. The spring weather is generally mild with wet periods. Best of all for our bear hunters on stand - There are NO BUGS. That's right, none of the plague of black flies you will find in the Canadian Provinces while spring hunting.

Here in Alberta you can take two bears and the chance of a color phase is very good. When you leave base camp, spike camps will be in log homes or tent camps. Home cooked meals will be served by a full time cook. Hunts will be conducted by boat once you reach the river by four wheel drive. On this hunt black bear are hunted primarily using spot and stalk as they are feeding in the late evening and early morning. Some areas allow for baiting and this method may be used where authorized. Extensive scouting allows us to ensure your hunt will be a success. This is a two bear hunt. The bears in this area run very large and Pope and Young potential is very high as well as is color phase bears.
This outfitters has been featured on Archers Choice with Ralph and Vicki. Great fair chaise spot and stalk bear hunting. Hunting will be either from four wheel drive vehicles or hoarse back, depending on circumstances. With a 100% shot opportunity and lots of other game species this is a high action hunt. This hunt will take place from second week of may until first week of june. Base camp cabins have hot water and indoor facilities and outpost camps have rustic cabins and tent facilities. Home cooked meals served throughout stay.
This hunt takes place on the beautiful winnipeg river in Manitoba. Accommodations are modern waterfront cabins with tv, vcr, wood burning stove, and all the amenities of home. Home cooked meals will be served in the main lodge. Hunts will be conducted by boat from 4 to 28 miles from camp. There are archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunting available. Price includes transportation once at camp, food, and accommodations.
This outfitter has an 80% shot opportunity on P&Y size bears most years if a hunter can hold out for more than two days in the stand. Color phase sightings are as high as 50% with color phase harvest as high as 40% with an overall 100% shot opportunity. They have hosted top name hunters such as Archers Choice and Texas Trophy Hunters Magazine. If you chose to fly, this hunt will start with a flight into Winnipeg for an overnight stay at a hotel. Sunday you will be picked up from motel at no cost and taken to camp for a gear check for hunting the next day. Monday thru Friday are the hunting days where hunting will take place from early afternoon until after dark each night. Lodging will be in comfortable cabins with three meals daily provided. Saturday will be a pack up and head back to Winnipeg for an overnight stay for flight out Sunday morning. There is a wound policy in place. This is a bow or rifle hunt. Hunt in one of the newest areas allocated in Northern Manitoba for nonresident black bear hunters on this outfitters exclusive, 5000 square mile area is located NW of Lynn Lake. This new area has many trophy size black bears in the 200 - 500 lb. range. A chance for a Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett bear is a good possibility. The bears in this area have received very little pressure because of the vast remoteness of the area. Approximately 30% of the bears in our area are of a different color phase such as blondes, cinnamons and chocolate browns.
Hunting is mostly by boat on lakes and rivers and some 4X4's. Shots are taken from 10 - 50 yards depending upon if you are shooting with bow or gun. The handicapped or elderly hunter can also be accommodated on this hunt. You may hunt with rifle, bow, cross bow or black powder, but no handguns are allowed in Canada. Timberwolves may be taken on your bear tag.
This hunt takes place in north central Quebec just outside the town of Val'dor. Hunts start in May and run into the second week of June. Hunting will be done from tree stands in some of the most rugged wilderness in the area. On our hunt with this outfitter in 2008, ten hunters saw seventy-eight bears and harvested eight in 6 days of hunting. Everyone had multiple shot opportunities. This is a weeklong hunt that includes lodging, licenses, three meals a day, transportation to and from the stand, and skinning and quartering the harvest for transporting home.

This is a hunt that will burn memories into your mind forever. After taking a float plane to Kodiak island and then a air taxi to your hotel on the water , you will be staying aboard a 58 foot boat as your headquarters for the duration of your hunt. Hunting will start each morning by taking the skiff to shore and stalking bears from there.
